Wednesday 25th.  A moderate and warm day, with hazy sunshine at times, provided some soaring  in hill and wave, with 4 of the day's 12 ATs off runway 20 leading to flights of over 30  minutes, with 2 of these over an hour.  Fred Brown, flying his Ventus 2t had the longest flight, 2:11, finding wave and climbing to 5,800' asl 8 km to the E of Easingwold before  returning to site and then to Knayton and then landing back.  Tony Drury flying K21 KLW solo, was the other > an hour pilot, his 1:23 being the result of wave augmented hill lift while soaring the S'ly ridge at 1,100' to 2,000' QFE between site and Ampleforth.   Clive Swain/Marian Stanley in K21 JVZ had 39 minutes and Guy Hartland/Neil Amos in KLW had 49 minutes,  with Clive/Marian soaring the S'ly ridge between Wass and Ampleforth while slowly descending from their launch height and Guy/Neil maintaining 1,200' QFE in-between the White Horse and Wass.

Thursday 26th.  The  moderate to moderate to fresh SSW'ly was accompanied by a low overcast and some light rain/drizzle to there was no flying.
