Tuesday 31st. A moderate to fresh WSW'ly blew all day gusting into the high30 kts, as a cold front approached from the north, the cloud base slowly lowering, with rain from 1700 hrs, justifying the previous day's decision to scrub flying.
Wednesday 1st. Tuesday's rain continued into Wednesday morning with skies clearing around midday, the moderate WSW'ly wind veering into the NW with the passage of the front. Although the weather conditions were considered OK for flying, the 29.5 mm of overnight rain had left the field too wet for operations.
