Tuesday 21st. A generally cloudy day with sunny intervals as a light but later moderate ESE'ly blew. Operations continued off runway 02 with the occasional landing on runway 06, but with limited lift, only 3 of the day's ATs gave rise to flights of 30 minutes or more, with none over 36 minutes. The latter was flown by Paul Whitehead with one of the day's 5 First Flight pupils in the DG1000, a 3'k tow being followed by a very slow descent between 2,800' to 2,600' asl aided by a weak thermal and perhaps a suggestion of weak wave in the lee of the main ridge. There were 2 flights of 30 minutes, one being by Peter Goodchild in his Discus bt and the other by Andreas Rieder/Spencer Bailey in the DG1000, their 2.5'k tow being followed by three < 500' climbs in weak thermals. The Tuesday evening group added 4 ATs to those flown earlier, the whole day's total being 24, with 2 Falke flights , the 2nd of which landed at 2127 hrs, completing the day's flying activities.
