Tuesday 16th,  A weak occluded front made slow progress across the UK, bringing low cloud to site that delayed the start of flying until early afternoon, when Peter Goodchild took the day's only First Flight pupil for a trip to Helmsley and Thirsk in the Falke.  This was followed by 10 ATs in either K21 KLW or K21 JVZ off runway 29, with most releases between 1,200' and 1,500' QFE as pilots concentrated on circuit planning in the absence of any lift.  Toby Wilson/Leo Yeung in KLW, however,  took a 2,000' QFE tow to record the longest flight of the day, 13 minutes.  Matthew Hill, fresh from his first solo on Sunday, added 2 more solo flights in KLW, following a check flight with Toby Wilson.
