Thursday 4th. With low pressure situated just to the NW of Scotland, a fresh SW'ly flow brought frequent showers to the W of the Pennines but only the occasional light one to N Yorkshire as the wind veered into the W over the course of the day and declined to moderate. This change came to late to allow any flying to take place
