Thursday 28th.  Two bands of thunderstorms crossed the area in the morning, the second mid-morning spell of thundery weather delaying the start of flying until around 1300  hrs, by which time the weather had cleared to sunny skies with a moderate SE/ESE'y wind.  There was little in the way of useable lift, so the day's 5 ATs, all in K21 KLW off runway 20,  were extended circuits with flight times from 18-21 minutes, the longest being for one of the day's 4 First Flight pupils. Nigel Burke was PI in KLW for 3 of the pupils, with the other having a Falke flight to Easingwold and back with Ian McFarlane.   Ian had a second trip in the Falke, this time doing touch and go's on runway 20 with George Nicholson as P2, eventually landing back on runway 06 to end flying for the day.
