Sunday 26th.  Some locally heavy showers in the early hours cleared away leaving the site in a initially cloudy and moderate to fresh WNW'ly airstream.  The start of flying was delayed until midday when the 1st of the day's 4 winch launches off runway 24 took off , with pilots Fred Brown/Chris Thirkell having 0:55 in K21 KLW, slowly climbing from release height to 3,000' asl, initially via hill lift and then via a couple of thermals.  The 3 flights that followed also used a combination of hill lift and thermals, with peak altitude reached gradually rising to a maximum of 5,200 asl off the last flight of the day as Jamie Quartermaine/Maxwell Miller had 1:24 in KLW, extending their flight to both 9 km SSW and NNW of the site.  Jamie's  earlier flight with David Trouse in K21 JVZ and Chris Collingham's flight in the same glider with Charles Frenchville had duration/peak altitudes of 0:37/4,200' asl and 1:07/4,500' asl.
