Saturday 25th. A sunny morning with a light to moderate WSW'ly blowing led to 28 winch launches off runway 24 and one AT, with 19 flights exceeding 30 minutes and 8 over an hour. The recorded > an hour flights ranged from Sam Bachelor's 2:17 in Astir DSU, closely followed by Chris Booker's 2:11 in his LS1, to Adam Sayer's 1:00 in DSU, with Astir pilots making up the remaining > an hour flights. Rob Bailey had 1:09 in FSH, Steve Thompson had 2 flights in Astir DPO of 1:01 and 1:02, while Austin Harland in DPO and John Forrester, also in DPO, had 1:02 each, with John later having 51 minutes in FSH. Clive Swain/Yuri Kozheurov in K21 JVZ had the longest 2 seater flight of the day, 59 minutes. Sarah Stubbs took the only First Flight pupil of the day for a 39 minute flight in K21 KLW off the day's only AT. The assumed means of defeating gravity was via hill lift as I have no information regarding the presence of any wave.
Sunday 26th. Although the day started off clear with early morning frost , the skies soon clouded over as Storm Herminia, centred to the W of Ireland, brought in lowering cloud, rain from midday and strengthening SE'ly winds that gusted up to 36 kts so there was no flying.
