Saturday 22nd to Tuesday 25th November 2025

Saturday 22nd.  An Atlantic front brought rain and low cloud plus a fresh SSW'ly that slowly declined over the day, but the expected clearance did not arrive in time to allow flying to take place.

Sunday 23rd.  A cloudy and wet day with rain on and off, 6 mm falling as a moderate WSW'ly blew, so there was no flying.

Monday 24th.  The wind had become a moderate N'ly  which brought in showers and accompanying low cloud off the North Sea over the day so there was no flying.

Tuesday 25th.  A sunny day as a ridge of high pressure crossed the UK was also a day with a moderate NW'ly blowing, so the day was scrubbed.

This blog describes a snippet of life at the Yorkshire Gliding Club. Why not take a flight and try it yourself, or we can teach you to fly as a full club member.
