Saturday 12th to Monday 14th February 2022

Saturday 12th.  A fresh and gusty S'ly slowly moderated to become moderate to fresh but the accompanying and persistent low cloud was another reason for there being no flying.

Sunday 13th.    A moderate and at times moderate to fresh SSE'ly blew all day, bringing in low cloud that brought rain from 0800 hrs for the rest of the day so there was no flying.

Monday 14th.  The depression responsible for Sunday's rain was  now situated in the North Sea and continued to feed in low cloud and rain on a moderate WNW'ly flow.  Signs of an improvement in the weather appeared in the afternoon, but was not sufficiently significant or long lasting to allow any flying.

This blog describes a snippet of life at the Yorkshire Gliding Club. Why not take a flight and try it yourself, or we can teach you to fly as a full club member.
