Monday 21st. A much quieter day at Sutton as a cloudy but bright am gave way to a sunnier pm, the light to moderate SE'ly slowly veering into the WSW. The 4 ATs in the morning and 5 in the afternoon were all flown in K21 KLW with Andreas Rieder as instructor. All but one of the day's flights were from 1,200' ATs, Adam Dransfield-Duckworth and Sam Stinson having 4 flights each as they concentrated on circuit training. The remaining flight saw Andreas/Alastair Chiltern take a tow to 2,900' QFE with a straight descent to a landing after 19 minutes onto runway 20, the operational runway on the day.
This blog describes a snippet of life at the Yorkshire Gliding Club. Why not take a flight and try it yourself, or we can teach you to fly as a full club member.
