Monday 15th.  A light ESE/SE'ly gradually increased to moderate, as  predominately overcast skies limited soaring opportunities, with only 1 flight of over an hour and no others over 28 minutes from the 18 AT launched off runway 20. The > an hour flight was by Sanjay Nath in his Std Cirrus, one of only two Private Owners to fly on the day,  a series of weak thermals over or near site keeping him between 2,000' to 3,200' asl for most of his 1:01 flight. Lift over the gulley bounding the eastern edge of the airfield and that triggered by the White Horse ridge was used by 3 flights that extended to 27/28   minutes, these being by Paul Whitehead/Victoria Liu in K21 KLW, Andreas Rieder/Sam Stimpson in the DG1000 and John Forrester in K21JVZ with one of the day's 4 First Flight pupils.  Sarah Stubbs/James Horton took the Falke on a visit to Sherburn in Elmet and after an hour there returned to Sutton.
