There were twenty nine aerotows performed by the Super Cub and the Eurofox, and of these five were trial lessons.
Most of the club two-seater flights were of about half-hour duration, the longest being Dick Cole and Mike Collins in the DG1000 (50 minutes).. None of the club single-seater fleet was flown.
There were seven private-owner flights, the longest of which was three hours and nine minutes by Darren Lodge in his LS8. Only Paul Whitehead, flying his Ventus, posted a flight on the BGA Ladder, and this was Burn O/R for 100kms in one hour fifty-seven minutes.
This blog describes a snippet of life at the Yorkshire Gliding Club. Why not take a flight and try it yourself, or we can teach you to fly as a full club member.
