Saturday 12th. A weak cold front travelling slowly S'wards brought rain and low cloud from mid to late morning and delayed the start of flying until midday when Toby Wilson and Sam Batchelor took an AT in the DG500 off runway 24 into a moderate/moderate to fresh WSW'ly. Their flight encountered lift that took them to 3,100' asl over the home ridge and then a climb to 3,400' asl just to the N of Gormire with a sortie W getting them to 3,900' asl just to the N of Sutton village. A turn N to Felixkirk followed by a turn SW towards Thirsk encountered heavy sink and a turn for home at 2,000' asl just to the W of Thirsk was followed by their landing after 54 minutes and that was it in flying terms for the day.
