June 22nd.   A light to moderate/moderate SE/ESE'ly blew all day, initially cloudy skies becoming broken with hazy sunshine that didn't generate much in the way of lift.  The day's 5 AT's and 2 Falke flights off runway 20 included 4 for First Flight pupils, 3 in either K21 JVZ or K21 KLW and the other in the Falke, with Derek Smith/Ryan Parker visiting Market Weighton and Pickering in the other Falke flight and carrying out a simulated field landing near Kirkbymoorside.  Clive Swain was P1 for two of the flights with the First Flight pupils which encountered some weak thermal lift just to the east of site, with a gain of 300' on one and the maintenance of 1,100'  QFE for 10 minutes on the other, resulting in both flights extending to 29 minutes, the longest of the day.
