Sunday 26th. Another sunny, dry, essentially blue day, with some patchy Cirrus at times but not much in the way of lift, so the day's 13 ATs off runway 20 were all up round and down affairs with duration based on release height. It was however a good day for the 7 First Flight pupils who flew, all of whom had tows to around 3,000' QFE, with flight times generally in the 19 -23 minute range. However, Sarah Stubbs, taking one of the day's First Flight pupils in K21 JVZ, found a weak thermal over the gulley and was able to maintain a height of 2,500' QFE for a while which extended their flight time to 31 minutes. The Falke had a couple of flights, the second taking the pilots on a visit to Rufforth, with a return later in the day.
