Saturday 29th.  A fresh WNW'ly provided some uncertainties about flying but, in the event, after an investigative launch by Toby Wilson/James Shaw in K21 JVZ, a further 4 winch launches were taken off runway 24.   All found good lift on the main W'ly ridge, with peak operating heights around1,600' QFE, but a number of attempts to progress upwind to the Forward Ridge only found strong sink.  Paul Whitehead/Malcolm Morgan in K21 KLW had the last and longest flight of the day, 1:10, including an excursion to Sutton village, while Paul also had 46 minutes with James Horton in the same glider.  James Shaw/Steve Ogden in KLW had 41 minutes, with Toby Wilson/Ryan Parker having 25 minutes in JVZ to complete this report of the day's flying.
