Monday 23rd.  A moderate SSE'ly accompanied by generally overcast skies did not provide any soaring opportunities, so the day's 11 ATs off runway 20 were either extended circuits from 2,500' QFE tows or launch failure practice.  The only flight of over 30 minutes was flown by Steve Scothern in his Discus bt, his 41 minutes being the result of a post launch engine burn which took him to 4,400' asl followed by a brief glimpse of lift near Kilburn and a steady descent.  The same area also allowed Polly Whitehead to have 25 minutes flying K21 JVZ solo from her 2,500' QFE tow, all other flights from the same release  height lasting 17-20 minutes.  Powered aircraft movements included one by the Falke and a low flyby by a Pawnee from Pocklington enroute to a landing at Bagby.
