Thursday 19th to Friday 20th March 2026.

Thursday 19th. The high pressure was still in place but with a light to moderate SSE'ly blowing, a day of milky skies and limited soaring conditions meant that only 3 of the day's 15 AT's off runway 20 led to flights of over 30 minutes with none over an hour. The Flarm traces from OGN's Flighbook again left something to be desired in terms of available information, but the soaring pilots were Andreas Rieder/Ian Miskin with 53 minutes in the DG1000, Bob Beck flying the DG1000 solo, 36 minutes, and Bas Sonneveld's 42 minutes in his LS4, the only private owner to fly on the day. Typical peak altitudes were around 2,800' asl although a few flights went higher due to high tows. The Falke was also busy with 3 flights, Derek Smith having the company of Nigel Burke, Dave Latimer and Polly Whitehead, while Paul Whitehead/Simon Altman had the first flight of the day in Eurofox ETY.
Friday 20th. Morning fog/low cloud did not clear until early afternoon, with visibility never improving beyond moderate so there was no flying.
