Tuesday 13th to Thursday 15th January 2026

Tuesday 13th.  A cold front brought low cloud and rain around lunchtime, its passage leading to a wind change from  a light to moderate S'ly to a light to moderate W'ly but there was no flying.

Wednesday 14th.  A weak ridge of high pressure brought a day of light to moderate, SSE'ly winds and sunny skies, although these clouded over later.  The day's flying comprised 16 AT's off runway 20 and 3 local Falke flights, with the lack of any significant lift meaning only Les Rayment/Duncan Pask's 35 minutes  in K21 KLW off a high tow breached  the half hour.  John Carter/Ryan Parker in the DG1000, Polly Whitehead, solo in K21 JVZ, and Nigel Burke/Les Rayment in KLW all had 24 minutes of high tows, but later in the day, Chris O'Doyle/Steve Morgan had 26 minutes in KLW and Tony Drury had 24 minutes solo in JVZ both off 2,000' tows.

Thursday 15th.  Another sunny start to the day was again quickly followed by overcast skies as a depression brought heavy rain to the south of England, the wind being a light ESE'ly.  The conditions only tempted 2 people to fly, Ryan Parker having 17 minutes off a 1,500' tow and Chris Teagle 4 minutes off a 600' tow, both flying with Andreas Rieder in K21 JVZ off runway 20.
