Thursday 12th. A moderate WSW'ly slowly backed into the S, a sunny start to the day soon giving way to showers, which were heavy at times. The day's flying was limited to 4 flights, all off runway 20, with 3 in K21 JVZ with James Shaw as P1 and one by Andy/Katherine Balkwill in their Janus. Andy and Katherine had just over an hour flying locally in weak thermal , with a best climb to 2,700' asl, while James and Peter Reid had 40 minutes, having a initial climb of around 400' in front of the main bowl shortly after release and then hill soaring the main bowl at around 800' QFE.
