Sunday 6th to Monday 7th July 2025

Sunday 6th. A light to moderate NNW'ly that slowly veered into the N brought in low cloud and intermittent light rain so there was no flying.
Monday 7th. A light to moderate NNW'ly slowly backed into the WNW on a day of sunny intervals and some thermal activity. Six ATs were flown, with 5 off runway 02 and the last one of the day off 24, while the first two landings of the day were on runway 30, with the remainder on 02. The day's five 2 seater flights were all in K21 JVZ, with Logan Briggs having three 1,100' tows, first with Andreas Rieder and then with James Shaw. Sanjay Nath, flying Astir FSH, used a couple of weak thermals to climb to 2,400' QFE and extend his flight time to 25 minutes, while James Shaw/Alan Nowicki in JVZ found a stronger thermal that took them to 3,400' QFE and resulted in them having the longest flight of the day, 32 minutes.
