Friday 18th to Saturday 19th April 2025

Friday 18th.   A moderate and at times moderate to fresh ESE'ly blew all day, a bright start soon disappearing as cloud cover increased with light rain setting in in the late afternoon.  Flying was limited to 3 flights in teh morning, Bob Calvert taking 2 First Flight pupils for 20/21 minute flights off 3,000' tows and Clive Swain/Brian Cross having 15 minutes off a 2,000' tow.

Saturday 19th.  The wind had become a moderate E'ly that slowly backed into the ENE, so the day's 12 ATs, all in one of other of the club K21s, were initially off runway 06 before changing to runway 02.    Some thermal activity under variable high cover, enabled Fred Brown/Ryan Berry to have the day's only flight of over an hour, their 1:01 using a series of thermals locally that kept them between 2,000 & 2,800' asl.  Derek Smith/John Marsh had the next longest flight of 38 minutes, again using local thermals and they climbed slightly higher to 3,100' asl, the thermals being relatively weak, with best average climbs of 2 kts.
