Tuesday 18th.  The Atlantic High had crossed the UK and was now centred to the SSE over Eastern Europe, bringing sunny, blue skies and a moderate and somewhat cool ESE'ly wind to site.  4 ATs were flown off runway 20 with all but one of the flights landing on runway 06.  With no useable lift, flight times were release height related, Bob Beck/Elizabeth Spencer's 2,500' tow bringing them the longest flight of the day at 19 minutes.  Bob's 3 other flights in K21 KLW, two with Tony Kirby and the other with Viv Dutton,  were 13/14 minute affairs off 1500' tows.

This blog describes a snippet of life at the Yorkshire Gliding Club. Why not take a flight and try it yourself, or we can teach you to fly as a full club member.
