Sunday 21st to Tuesday 23rd January 2024

Sunday 21st.  Atlantic storm Isha approached from the west during daylight hours and crossed just to the north of Scotland overnight Sunday/Monday, bringing increasingly strong and gusty SSW'ly winds to site accompanied by low cloud and rain, so there was no flying.

Monday 22nd.  The aftermath of storm Isha was a fresh and gusty WSW'ly wind that veered into the W, the unstable airmass producing heavy showers during the afternoon/evening, some of which were thundery with the precipitation falling as hail.  Unsurprisingly, there was no flying.

Tuesday 23rd.  Another Atlantic storm, Jocelyn bore down on the UK, the moderate to fresh SSE'ly veering into the SSW and becoming increasingly fresh and gusty as the day wore on, with low cloud shrouding the hills and rain falling most of the day, so there was no flying.
