Saturday 4th. The continuing low overcast brought in from the North Sea on a light to moderate ESE'ly again delayed the start of flying until around 1100 hrs, and then only by the Falke which had 2 flights. More general flying commenced around 1430 hrs with the first of 5 ATs off runway 20, but with little prospect of soaring, three of the launches were for First Flight pupils, with Toby Wilson giving his pupil the longest flight of the day, 21 minutes in the DG1000. Member,s flying saw Andy Evans fly K21 solo and Bruce Grain and John Marsh take the last flight of the day in the same glider.
This blog describes a snippet of life at the Yorkshire Gliding Club. Why not take a flight and try it yourself, or we can teach you to fly as a full club member.
