Saturday 10th to Sunday 11th October 2020

Saturday 10th.  An initially moderate NW'ly wind delayed the start of flying until late morning with Les Rayment taking Robbi Turnbull for 11 minutes in K21 JVZ.  Flying was then suspended for a couple of hours due to showers before Bruce Grain and Sam Powell took the 2nd  flight of the day, again in JVZ off runway 24, before landing on runway 02 after a flight of 16 minutes as the wind veered into the north  and decreased to light.  This proved to be the last flight of the day as more showers arrived, making their contribution to the 4,3 mm of rain falling during the day.

Sunday 11th.  Another day of only 2 launches as the weather again proved to be uncooperative. Ian McFarlane and Dave Thompson took the first of the 2 fights in K21 JVZ off runway 24 as a light NNW'ly blew landing after 1 minutes on runway 24, althought the tug landed on 02.  Ian then took  the 2nd and last flight of the day with Tom Locke, a First Flight pupil, but had to come off tow at around 1100' QFE due to low cloud, this persisting for the rest of the day, so there was no more flying.
