Monday 13th.  The wind had become a moderate N'ly, reducing the maximum temperature to 22.7c locally, although the skies remained blue and the day sunny.  The day's 9 ATs were off runway 02 with 02/06 used for landing, and  blue wave around 8 km north of the site provided some soaring for some, with 5 flights of over 30 minutes, although none over an hour.  The first flight to soar in the wave was by Phillip Morgan/James Minx in their Janus C, slowly descending from 4,200' asl to 3,400' asl in their 56 minute flight.  They were followed by James Shaw/Naomi Kennard in K21 KLW, who, after a brief stay at 4,100' asl, maintained 3,000' to 3,300' asl before landing after 40 minutes.  Martin Hoskin/James Minx then took their Janus C for a second flight, this one lasting 38 minutes as they slowly descended from  4,000' asl to 2,600' asl, while James Shaw/Stephen Kelleher had 48 minutes with a similar flight profile.  Finally, of the last flight of the day, James Shaw/Phillip Holland had 58 minutes in K21 JVZ, climbing to the best altitude of the day, 4,500' asl N of Hawnby.
