Friday 29th November to Sunday 1st December 2024

Friday 29th.  A moderate and at times moderate to fresh SSE/SE'ly blew all day, with sunny intervals due to patchy medium level cloud.  The only flying was an O/R to Rufforth by the Falke, with a few touch and go landings there.

Saturday 30th.  The now light to moderate wind continued to blow from the SSE, the morning's rain and low cloud eventually clearing but not soon enough to allow any flying to take place.

Sunday 1st.    A moderate S'ly brought some rain in the morning, but this cleared by early afternoon with the wind declining to light and backing into the SSE.  K21 JVZ was then utilised for 3 flights off runway 20, Toby Wilson/Stephen Kellener taking the first and Malcolm Morgan taking the 2nd and third with first Graham Speram and then James Shaw, both visitors from the Cambridge GC.  Some reduced sink while flying between the White Horse and Wass enabled Malcolm and James to have 24 minutes flying time, with the other flights having around 20 minutes.
