Tuesday 4th.  An Atlantic low to the NW of Scotland brought cloud and some light showery rain in the morning which  soon cleared, allowing flying to commence around midday.  12 ATs and 1 Falke flight were subsequently flown, 8ATs and the Falke flight off runway 20 until operations ceased mid afternoon and then 4 off runway 24 from 1815 hrs as the Tuesday evening group took control of operations and responded to the  light to moderate SSE'ly veering into the SSW.  Most of the afternoon flyers had to make do with a lack of useable lift, with the only flight to exceed 30 minutes being the last one of this group, Andreas Rieder/Sam Stimpson having 32 minutes in K21 JVZ, the result of a thermal climb from 2,000' asl to 3,700' asl.  The evening group had the opposite trend, with the first flight of the evening by Toby Wilson/Dexter Lambaert in JVZ staying up for 41 minutes via 3 thermals, the best of which took them to 3,300' asl.  Thereafter, the 3 remaining flights used weak hill  lift from the  home bowl to reduce sink rates but were unable to extend flight times beyond 17 minutes.
