Saturday 18th to Sunday 19th October 2025

Saturday 18th  A light to moderate SSE'ly blew all day accompanied by overcast skies, but this time the layer of Stratocumulus was high enough to allow normal ATing operations but still thick enough to prevent any convection.  Consequently, none of the day's 27 ATs off runway 20 resulted in any flights of 30 minutes or more, the longest being in the 22-24 minute range these being flown by most of the 8 First Flight pupils of the day, the result of high tows.

Sunday 19th.  Some early glimpses of sunshine were soon replaced by a lowering overcast, as an Atlantic depression's fronts made progress NE'wards across the UK, with rain locally from 1500 hrs, this continuing into the early hours of Monday, 23 mm being recorded at Helmsley and, consequently, no flying being recorded at site.
