Tuesday 10th.  A moderate to fresh WNW'ly slowly declined in strength to become light to  moderate on a day with good Cumulus, the wind strenght initially delaying the start of flying until 1300 hrs, but the good soaring conditions then allowing a couple of 300's to be flown.   Operations were off runway 24, the day's 20 ATs generating 10 flights over 30 minutes with 7 of these over an hour and the Tuesday group's evening flying continuing until just before 2100 hrs.  Cloud base reached around 5,000' locally and just under 6,000' elsewhere, with average peak thermal strengths over 5 kts.  The two > 300 km XC pilots were Dean Crosby in his LS10t and Rob Bailey in his ASG29t, Dean flying a 300.3 km task around Brigg, Stamford Bridge and Kirton in Lindsey while Rob did an 314.5 km task around Tontine and Horncastle with a start at Sutton control point S and a finish at Sutton control point N.  Those flying locally for around an hour or more included Austin Hartland in Astir DSU with 57 minutes, Andreas Rieder/David Sculfor in K21 JVZ with 1:33 and visitor Steve Codd, who flew his Slingsby Capstan solo for 2:21.   Two First Flight pupils were flown and Bruce Grain had 2 local flights in the Falke with first James Horton and then Paul Wear.

Wednesday 11th. The wind had become a light to moderate SSE'ly, slowly strengthening over the day to become a moderate ESE, so the day's 26 ATs were off runway 20, the day's moderate thermal conditions leading to 15 flights over 30 minutes of which 7 exceeded an hour.  Thermals locally were relatively weak, although cloud base rose to just over 5,000' asl, but conditions over the Pennines were much better, enabling Steve Thompson to fly a 203.8 km task with TPs at Pateley Bridge, Selset and Grimwith Reservoirs, although the poor conditions over the Vale of York meant an initial struggle and finish. Bob Calvert in his Discus 2ct flew an estimated 184 km with TPs at Pocklington and Aysgarth, while Dean Crosby took his LS10t an estimated 110 km with TPs at or near Kirkbymoorside, Fridaythorpe, East Yorks 2 and Stamford Bridge.  Those flying locally for more than an hour included Charles Frenchville with 2:48 in Astir DSU, Steve Ogden in  his Discus with 1:58 and Clive Swain/Eileen Scothern who had 1:15 in the DG500.  A Falke from Pocklington dropped in for a brief visit before returning to its  home base while the Sutton Falke flew locally and 4 First Flight pupils were flown.

Thursday 12th.  The ESE'ly wind had increased to moderate to fresh with gust up to 30 kts, and although the day was sunny with some thin high cloud, the wind strength and direction meant there was no flying.
