Cafe

CAFE OPENING HOURS

10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Wednesday to Sunday (Closed Monday and Tuesday)

OPEN ON BANK HOLIDAYS

Our on-site Cafe, "The Gliders Nest" is an independent business situated within the main Clubhouse; and is open to members, visitors and also welcomes members of the public.

Emma and her team serve a range of hot and cold food daily; from traditional bacon and sausage butties to specials such as pies, quiches, salads and chips.

Tea, coffee, cold drinks and a range of delicious cakes are also available - as well as locally sourced ice creams for the hot summer days!

FOR YOUR SAFETY

Our clubhouse is situated between two large grass areas, which are active runways whilst the club is in operation. We kindly ask that dogs are kept on a lead, and children are kept close by. Aircraft may be being manoeuvred either by hand, or under their own power around the hangars also.

Please stay to the marked paths, keep a good look out and do not walk on the grass except for the roped area outside the main entrance.

Please do not cross the airfield to reach the Cleveland Way or the White Horse - we are happy to direct you, but for your safety you must stick to the public roads and footpaths surrounding the airfield.

Cyclists - please dismount and push your bike past the front of the hangars; as aircraft may be being pushed in and out of the hangars.

Motorists - please park in the visitors car park; you may not drive on any part of the airfield as your motor insurance will not cover you in the event of an accident.

THANK YOU

Thank you for your co-operation and please enjoy your visit to our historic club. If you'd like to learn more about gliding, our members are usually very happy to talk about flying, or you can come and see us as the office.
