Saturday 27th.  Storm Arwen made its presence felt as it tracked southwards over the North Sea, the site weather station recording a minimum pressure of 975 mb around 2100 hrs on Friday night before it ceased recording early on Saturday morning.   A fresh to strong NNW'ly blew in a mixture of rain, sleet and snow and nearby RAF Topcliffe recorded a gust of 84 mph at 1000 hrs encouraging some unlikely attempts at flying as the following photos illustrate.
