The day started with light winds and low clouds, and continued in this vein until just before 6pm, thereby delaying any club flying.  An afternoon session for a group of  Womens Institute members from West Yorkshire was also delayed, but the WI had their planned on-site, post-flight, meal somewhat earlier, and aerotowing started at 18:03, using the two K21s.  The cloud base was still low at times, and not all tows managed to reach 2000' QFE.  Lift was also in short supply, so flight times were below 16 minutes.  However, all the twelve visitors enjoyed themselves, and we look forward to the WI's next visit!

This blog describes a snippet of life at the Yorkshire Gliding Club. Why not take a flight and try it yourself, or we can teach you to fly as a full club member.
